Mr. Boldrighini

Louis Boldrighini is the Director of Percussion and Associate Band Director at Dawson High School in Pearland ISD. He also serves as the percussion specialist for Berry Miller Junior High, Pearland Junior High South, Jamison Middle School, and Rogers Middle School.

Originally from Mansfield, Massachusetts, Mr. Boldrighini earned a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Massachusetts–Amherst, studying under Thomas Hannum, Peter Tanner, and William Hanley. He pursued graduate studies at Texas Tech University with Alan Shinn and at the University of Houston with Marvin Sparks.

Mr. Boldrighini has contributed to several award-winning band programs recognized for consistent UIL Sweepstakes Awards, Bands of America Grand Nationals appearances, TMEA Honor Band finalists and state champion, and performances at the National Concert Band Festival, Midwest Band & Orchestra Clinic and the Western International Band Clinic.

Notably, the Manvel High School (2015) and Dawson High School (2022) Percussion Ensembles were selected to perform at the Midwest Clinic. In 2022, the Dawson ensemble was also named the TMEA Invited Percussion Ensemble.

His drum corps experience includes marching with the Defenders (1981) and Garfield Cadets (1984–85), earning consecutive DCI World Championships. He later served on the percussion staff for the Cadets, Troopers, and Sky Ryders Drum and Bugle Corps.

Mr. Boldrighini is an active member of TMEA, TBA, and PAS, an Educational Artist with Innovative Percussion, and a sought-after clinician and adjudicator across Texas. He has presented clinics at both the TMEA and TBA conventions.
